A Day Retreat
Give your self an afternoon of inner nourishment at our beautiful sanctuary with our day retreat.
As the days grow shorter and colder our natural instinct is to hibernate and spend this time replenishing from the rajasic (energy) of the summer, but due to the nature of our busy lives, we don't always have the time - so here are Inner Hive we have created a time for you to do just so!
The season of fall is linked to our meridians of the lung and large intestines meaning that during this season they need extra attention, using the meridian clock Bryony will guide you through a vinyasa yoga practise to open up the lungs and large intestines.
Following our flow practise we will have the absolute luxury of being guided through a talk with Dr Sophia Valaris who will explain the power of the breath, how breathing works and what is does for us when we consciously breath. This is a very exciting opportunity to come closer to understanding the science behind the magic of how yoga works!
After a short break Bryony will guide you through a yin yoga practise to create even more balance through our systems finishing up with beautiful pranayama to clear the lungs.

Bryony's spiritual journey began when she packed her bags and took to traveling the world in her early 20's knowing there had to be more in life than working like she had be socially conditioned to do. She commenced to letting herself learn from nature, different religions and cultures, strangers and her spiritual teachers. It was at this time when she had been suffering from illness and depression, she took back her power and healed herself through the teachings of yoga and more profoundly meditation.
Bryony has been working with the body for as long as she could walk having trained as a professional dancer, worked as an international celebrity fitness trainer and she is also a certified holistic life coach. It is upon the background that she has developed and is known for her strong dynamic yoga asana classes, that challenge and establish both mental and physical strength. Her classes are sweaty, fun and rich in tradition. She is known for her continuous studies and knowledge of the Yoga History and Philosophy and her passion for the philosophy of yoga is integrated in her classes as she feels the power of yoga moves beyond just the asana.
Bryony is soon to have over 1500 hours of yoga teacher training certification and she deeply believes that yoga can enhance and radically transform the lives of all those who choose to walk this path.
Sophia is a biomedical research scientist and a yogi and meditation enthusiast.
She completed her DPhil in Immunology from the University of Oxford, UK. She went on to be a postdoctoral research fellow in Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA. There she investigated the beneficial impact of exercise on the brain and cognitive performance. Currently she is working as a researcher in Al.Fleming Biomedical Science Research Center, Athens Greece. Her scientific interests still lie in the field of exercise, neurogenesis and angiogenesis. Her journey with yoga and meditation began during her graduate studies as tools for stress and mental health management, but since then have evolved into daily and lifestyle practices which she is keen to develop further.
