About Nine Lives:

Oi Eptapsyches is a volunteer-run, registered nonprofit organisation, established in 2008, dedicated to improving the welfare of stray and community cats through sustainable, humane solutions. Based in Athens, Greece, we work primarily through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programmes, providing veterinary care, feeding of over 500 cats on a daily basis and public awareness campaigns.

Since 2008, our organisation has made a lasting difference in the lives of thousands of stray cats. We've successfully sterilised over 20,000 cats, found loving homes for more than 2,000, and built a strong community of 94 volunteers and 115 dedicated feeders and caregivers. We're especially proud of our retirement project, offering a peaceful sanctuary to elderly cats who have spent their lives on the streets — with 5 senior cats currently enjoying their golden years in comfort and safety. Every milestone brings us closer to a world where every cat is valued, protected, and loved.

Our mission is to reduce the overpopulation of stray cats by focusing on prevention, education, and rehoming when possible. We operate through a strong network of volunteers, veterinarians, and local partners. Each month, we support over 60 active volunteers, including colony feeders, foster carers, rescuers, and drivers. They play a vital role in identifying cats in need, transporting them to our collaborating vets and ensuring their safe return, fostering and/or adoption.

To date, our field of action has been focused mainly in the commercial and historical centre of Athens, where stray populations are dense and highly visible.

About Help Horses Ymittos 

Help Horses is a Civil Non-Profit Organization founded by volunteers in September 2023, with the aim of rescuing the approximately 100 abandoned horses that were found living in the outskirts of Ymittos, malnourished, injured and in completely unsuitable conditions.

​

​Our primary concern was and remains to provide water, food and medical care to these horses.
