Sacred Strength: Flow, Discipline, and Deep Relaxation

“Sacred Strength” is a dynamic and empowering yoga practice that blends the energizing flow of Core Power Yoga with the depth and wisdom of yogic philosophy. Not just a power yoga class and a workout: it’s a chance to transform.

This class is designed to challenge your body, challenge your mind, and uplift your spirit as we explore the harmony between physical strength and inner peace by way of the inner critic and the truth. Through intentional movement, a repeated sequence, and mindful breath, we call on certain principles of yoga to build AWARENESS of our resilience, vitality, compassion, pureness, and truth, to name a few.

Ahimsa + Santosha: Practice with kindness and contentment, enjoying each pose without self-criticism.

Tapas + Svadhyaya: Embrace the discipline to hold challenging poses while reflecting on what arises within.

Satya + Ishvarapranidhana: Be truthful about your capacity and surrender the need for control.

The practice culminates in a guided deep relaxation meditation, inviting stillness, renewal, and a profound sense of peace. Whether you’re seeking physical power, mental clarity, or spiritual grounding, Sacred Strengthoffers a transformative journey to uncover the strength that lies within.

Elli was first introduced to yoga around 1999 at the local community center, surrounded by older women doing some “stretching.” As you might imagine, it didn’t catch her full attention! It became more of a habit in 2005 and in 2010, Vinyasa Yoga entered her life and taught her what discipline and a moving meditation felt like. In 2015, at the nudge of one of her teachers, she signed up for a training and received her 200hr certification. She moved to Athens in 2017 and had much more time to slow down, self-study, and take her practice and understanding of yoga much deeper. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are what inspire and teach her to make sense of the world and how to live a life of understanding and self-reflection in order to keep evolving. â€‹
