Healing from the body to
the soul
Psychotherapy group

Observe ~ Understand ~ Release ~ Heal

Healing starts by nourishing the relationship we have with ourselves and one of the best tools to use is our body. Often we are so estranged with our body we do not understand or even listen to the messages it
sends to us. And the body speaks. All the time!

The body remembers. The body communicates. The body always tells the truth.
We just have to be curious to listen and then learn how to understand it.
This group is for you if:

● You have a history of trauma whether it might be emotional, physical or sexual.
● You want to develop your relationship with yourself.
● You want to deepen your self-awareness, better perceive the messages your body sends you and understand what you feel.

What will a session look like?
Each session will be starting with an exercise that utilises the body. That might be breathing exercises, guided visualisation, meditation, sensory exercises like light tapping, stomping or clapping, Qi Gong movements, stretches, Yoga positions, body scanning and relaxation.

Following that we will have the opportunity to mindfully process and share the sensations, thoughts and emotions that might have arisen and then we will work on them.

The healing work will sometimes happen on a one to one basis between a member and the therapist while the group members observe and other times we will be working in couples or even small groups, always under the facilitator’s supervision.

Session will be held in English

Duration: The introductory session will be 1 hour long. Efthymios will explain the treatment process and the members will have the opportunity to ask questions and assess the therapist approach and style. Of course, the purpose for this meeting is primarily for both the members and the therapist to meet, gather information regarding their needs, intentions and expectations and see how they feel about the prospect of working with each other.

Hopefully, a supportive atmosphere will be established, where all participants will feel less alone and more hopeful about their challenges.
